September Highlights for Troop 104: Eagle Scout, Record Achievements, and Wilderness Survival

September was an exciting and eventful month for Troop 104! We’re thrilled to announce that Jareth Moore became the 7th Scout in our troop to earn the prestigious Eagle Scout rank. His Eagle Court of Honor was a memorable celebration of his hard work, dedication, and leadership. Congratulations, Jareth!

Our Court of Honor also recognized the collective achievements of the entire troop. We broke records by awarding an impressive 89 Merit Badges and celebrated 7 Rank Advancements. A huge shoutout to all the Scouts for their dedication and accomplishments!

But the adventure didn’t stop there—September also marked our highly anticipated Wilderness Survival Campout. Fourteen Scouts set out to test their survival skills, building shelters and spending the night in the great outdoors. Despite a night filled with rain, thunder, and lightning, 13 brave Scouts stayed out in the elements, with 8 surviving the night equipped with only a small Ziploc bag of survival items and the clothes on their backs. When the rain hit, we provided each Scout with a 5x9 tarp to help fortify their shelters. The temperature dipped to around 60°F, making for a true test of endurance and preparation.

Congratulations to all the Scouts who took on this challenge—you’ve proven your resilience and determination! What an incredible month for Troop 104.
