January may be a chilly month, but that didn’t slow down Troop 104! We kept up our usual fast pace with an action-packed month full of adventure, service, and celebration.
Camping Underground at Eagle Cave. We kicked off the year with a campout unlike any other—an unforgettable trip to Eagle Cave in Blue River, Wisconsin! This was a first-time experience for many of our Scouts, who eagerly explored the cave’s winding passages and tight crevices. The true test? Sleeping in the cave for the entire weekend! Of course, no epic adventure is complete without a little mess, and let’s just say most parents were left wondering if their Scouts’ clothes were even salvageable. But hey, that’s just part of the fun of Scouting!
Giving Back: Feed My Starving Children Service is at the heart of what we do, and this month, Troop 104 continued its tradition of volunteering at Feed My Starving Children. Over 20 of our Scouts and leaders came together to pack meals for those in need, making a real difference in the fight against hunger. It’s always inspiring to see our Troop come together for such a meaningful cause.
Winter Court of Honor: Celebrating Achievements On Sunday, January 26th, we gathered for our Winter Court of Honor. Even though this time of year is typically quieter for awards and advancements, our Scouts still achieved an impressive five rank advancements and earned four Merit Badges. A huge congratulations to everyone who put in the hard work—your dedication to Scouting does not go unnoticed!
Looking Ahead: Scout SundayAs we wrap up January, we’re already gearing up for another important event—Scout Sunday on February 16th. We look forward to celebrating this special occasion with our fellow Scouts, leaders, and families.
Great job to all of Troop 104 for an amazing start to 2025! Stay tuned for more adventures ahead.
